Arrive in Port Vila. You will be met at Port Vila airport and transferred to the Formule Hotel for your overnight stay.
Evening at leisure. Enjoy a meal at one of Port Vila’s numerous restaurants or bars.
After your hotel pick-up meet your captain and crew at our charter base for your charter briefing. Board your vessel and head out for your first days fishing. Head north fishing Hat Island and the Marlin Highway for Vanuatu’s famous Blue Marlin. Overnight at anchorage in the lee of Nguna Island.
After breakfast and a leisurely swim or snorkel we head north to fish the Shepherd Islands. First stop is Monument Rock home of the resident dogtooth tuna and wahoo. After a few hours of rod bending action we head further north trolling the Matasso Sea Mount for marlin and yellowfin tuna on our way to the island of Emae. Overnight at anchorage in the lee of Emae Island. For the enthusiastic angler, drop a bait over the side at night for red bass and sweetlip.
After an early start, head to nearby Cooks Reef targeting the speedy wahoo. For those keen GT anglers we’ll now get the poppers and jigs firing for your chance at 60-100 pound Giant Trevally and Dogtooth Tuna. As we head further north we target sailfish on our way to our overnight anchorage at Forlan Bay.
After a leisurely start, today we head west to the De Chaulliac Bank Sea Mount targeting the yellowfin tuna and marlin that frequent this spectacular location. Other species we are likely to encounter on the sea mount include mahi mahi and wahoo. After a long rememerable day we head east to the picturesque Lamen Bay where we’ll anchor overnight. Venture on shore and meet the local villagers and Chief Taso while we prepare your dinner on board.
Today we head east to fish the lee of the spectacular Lopevi Volcano. Today we seek the bait schools that frequent the island edges which hold yellowfin tuna and wahoo. We also get the chance to throw poppers at the steep walls targeting some big GT’s. After a solid session at Lopevi head around the island of Paama fishing the Paama Reef System. Troll deep diving minnows on the reef edge for coral trout, red bass, green jobfish and dogtooth tuna. Head back to Lamen Bay for our overnight anchorage.
After an early start we head south fishing the wide 1000 metre drop off. Today we look to top off the trip with big billfish. With eyes peeled we look for the bait schools that frequent the 1000 metre line. Yellowfin tuna, blue marlin and mahi mahi are our main targets today. As we get closer to home we’ll fish the FAD’s located close to Port Vila looking for the last fish of the trip. After arriving at our charter base and high fives all round enjoy a few drinks with the crew before heading back to your overnight accommodation at the Formule Hotel. Top off your last night with a dinner at one of the many superb restaurants in Port Vila.
