The fishing out of Malabou is focused around popper casting and jigging for a range of sportfish. A little further north based out of the town Poum is the location for targeting large bonefish. These flats are some of the most accessible yet remote locations for targeting bonefish within easy reach of Australia and New Zealand.
We recommend a minimum 4 night trip to maximize your New Caledonia fishing experience. Below are our recommended pre-set packages designed to get the most out of a trip to New Caledonia. We can also customise a package to suit your individual requirements.
First Day
Arrive Tontouta airport. You will be met at the airport and transferred to the Malabou Hotel in the north of the island. Enjoy dinner and a few ales at the hotel before settling in for the evening.
Day 2 Onwards
Board your centre console early morning and commence your charter. Within minutes you’ll be fishing around the atolls, reefs, lagoons and drop off’s of this spectacular location. The there’s the New Caledonian Barrier Reef which is located only 11 miles from the resort.
